Why is second ionization enthalpy of silicon is lower than aluminium?

Aluminum is [Ne] 3s^2 3p^1 and Silicon is [Ne] 3s^2 3p^2. ... The second ionization energy will result in Neon losing the one 3p electron that is holding it back from having a full 3s shell, while Aluminum will have to lose an electron from a much more shielded happy s orbital
