Secondary Memory in Computers:
Primary memory is a “volatile memory” and the storage of this memory is low. So, we required the secondary memory to store the large amount of data's permanently.
Secondary memory is a “non-volatile memory”, it does not accessed directly by the computer/processor. Secondary memory device includes such as “hard disk”, “floppy disks”, “magnetic tap” and “optical disks” such as CDs and DVDs.
Secondary memory is a “permanent memory”, it allows the users to store the data and easily retrieved the data by the applications and services. It is also called as storage memory.
