1. The series arrangement provides high resistance due to which the current drawn by the circuit will be less.

2. Individual on/off switches cannot be applied to each electrical appliance.

3. In series arrangement same amount of current flows through each electrical device, which is not required.

4. All appliances have to be used simultaneously even if we don't require them.
