Although sexual reproduction involves more time and energy, higher organisms have resorted to sexual reproduction in spite of its complexity. This is because this mode ofreproduction helps introduce new variations in progenies through the combination of the DNA from two (usually) different individuals

Answer:

Sexual reproduction is seen in higher organisms because, higher organisms like humans produces gametes, ova in females, sperm in males.

The fusion of gametes produces a zygote, that carries information of both the parent's DNA hence making a variation, more suited to environment and creating an all total new organism.

Whereas in asexual reproduction the organism produced has no change in the genetic makeup, thus creating less impact on evolution.
