Why is sexual reproduction not possible in amoeba and hydra.

Amoeba does asexual reproduction through binary fission whereas hydra does its by budding. As they are simple organism with very less complexity they prefer asexual reproduction. Also sexual reproduction requires lots of energy which cannot be accomplished by simple single cell or some cellular level of organism.
