Due the biological evolution there are many extinct species which have biological characteristics of two or more biological species.

These extinct species are known as the connecting links.

Similarly, the seymouria is also an extinct species which is connecting link between amphibians and reptiles.

The skull of the seymouria is like the amphibian skull but rest of the body structure and skeleton formation is just like a normal reptile.
