Why is shadow of bird not formed when flying high up in sky????

As higher the object the shadow becomes larger but birds are metere's above normal level and due to geometeric optics the object is higher in sky

since birds flew in sky all know the angle at which the sunlight falls on birds the Shadow forms at a specific space. but due geographic optics it is not seen
