Sheep shearing is done in summer season i.e. during hot weather because they can survive without their thick protective coat of protective hair in summer season. ... During summer season sheep feel hot and uncomfortable due to the thick fur. So, shearing is done in summer season only....otherwise if they had done shearing in winter season then the sheep would have been died due to 'cold'
