Sheep have a Coat of wool known as Fleece. This fleece protects the sheep from the dazzling cold of winter.

Shearing is the process of removal of Fleece from sheep's body. It's not done during winter as in poor condition The sheep will might die.

Thus, During Summer or Spring The fleece is removed, When the temperature is high.

It is because during winter sheep's produce thick and more amount of fleece and during summer term jackaroos and jillaroos can get a good amount of yield.
