it has many disadvantages bcoz,

  • it destroys many forests.
  • it makes the land non fertile I,e the land does not remain suitable for cultivation.
  • it leads to air pollution, as the cultivators burn the forest in order to grow new plants.

Answer:

shifting cultivation leads to cutting down of forests and trees that are helpful for controlling soil erosion. this means that the land is exposed to erosion and which means the top soil will be carried away. top soil is the most important because of its fertility.

the end results are that yields will reduce and in case of heavy rainfall flooding may occur
