Answer:Facilitated diffusion is the process of spontaneous passive transport of molecules or ions across a biological membrane via specific transmembrane integral proteins.Diffusion may not be able to meet all the transportation requirements of the plant because as the absorbed materials move up the plant, their concentration lessens. ... This cannot take place in all plant cells as some cells would require input of energy to transport material against the concentration gradient

Answer:

Diffusion, being a very slow process doesn't really meet the oxygen or carbon dioxide requirements of the plants, tress or even humans. A different transportation system is required for the gaseous exchange that takes place in the plant cells.

As in trees, they have a large number of cells and if they just relied on diffusion for the transportation of gases, the plant wouldn't survive.

So, considering all this, diffusion isn't very suitable when it comes to multicellular and complex organisms.
