When the white light from sun enters the atmosphere of the Earth, this white light gets this word into constituent colours which are violet, Indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange and red by the water droplets in the atmosphere which act as a prism.
But the red, orange, yellow, green colour of light do not actually get this part into distinct colours and remain mixed in the form of white light.
But the blue of Light having shorter wavelength get it by the gas and the particles in the atmosphere the most because the size of these particles is comparable with the wavelength of light
Therefore sky appears blue due to dispersion and scattering of light.
