why is sky not green

color of sky is not green but blue because the light after scattering from particles in air shows the constituent color of light which has the wavelength smaller than the size of particle ,which is of blue but not green.

Our Atmosphere is mostly contained of Oxygen and Nitrogen molecules and Atoms,
Every atom absorbs specific wavelength of light and scatteres,
Oxygen and Nitrogen in our atmosphere scatteres Blue colour from The Sun Light Received,
Due to this Heavy no.of atoms, Blue colour is scattered most, So our sky looks like blue colour,
The main phenomenon here is Scattering of Light,
