Answer:

THERE YOU GO MATE

  • Digestion of cellulose takes a longer time, because the enzymes are produced by the ruminant bacteria that live in the gut of the herbivore.
  • Longer small intestine ensures that the food stays for a longer duration and proper digestion is possible

Answer:

Because herbivores are vegetarian and to digest the cellulose present in herbivores take long time for the digestion. For digestion of cellulose they need long small intestine . On the other hand carnivorous eat meat which can easily digested by small intestine and it is not a long process . So that's why small intestine is longer in herbivores than carnivorous.
