small intestine of herbivores is longer because they normally eat plant parts, which are composed of cellulose and cellulose digestion takes a very long time as compared to meat digestion of the carnivores.

Meat are easily absorbed by our body so we need not larger inyestine.
But Herbivores eat grass and other vegetable which contains a very complex carbohydrate known as cellulose. We know small intestine is the largest part of digestion.
So a herbivores has larger small intestine than carnivores.
