why is soap slippery? Give some properties of soap ? Is is basic in nature?

It is basic in nature.
Bases are slippery.
That's why a soap is slippery.
Property:
Its chemical nature is that glycerol halohydrin or sulfate plus a metallic salt or soap CaH,(OH SOYABEAN OIL. 5 percent aqueous soap solutions.
It is soluble in water

this is coz its a hydrocarbon i. e. made up of oil and oil reduces friction. soaps r basic in nature and have the cleansing property once they come in contact with water
