{\boxed{\tt{Answer\:!!}}}

Sodium is very reactive.

It reacts with oxygen (of air) so violently that it catches fire and starts burning even if it is kept in the air.

Therefore, sodium is Stored under Kerosene to prevent its reaction with oxygen or air.

Answer:

As sodium is most reactive metal if we kept it in room temperature it will burn without any support of fire and causes a huge loss.Thats why it should be kept in kerosene oil.
