Sodium kept under kerosene because Na is too reactive with . So it can catch fire if we put it outside

Sodium is very highly reactive metal. If we keep it open so in contact with air it will catch fire. If we keep it in water so it will also catch fire in contact with water. To prevent the fire the sodium is stored in kerosene.....
