Why is sodium kept inside kerosene?

Sodium is a very reactive metal and it reacts vigorously with air. So they are kept under kerosene to cut off the supply of air . Mark me as the brainliest

Sodium is highly reactive . So it's kept immersed in kerosene oil to prevent its reaction with oxygen , moisture and carbon dioxide of air to prevent accidental fires .
