Soil is a natural resource. It is added in the non-renewable resource category. This is because soil takes long time to develop whereas it can quickly destroyed and eroded.  That is the reason it is also called as hidden resource.

Soil also effected by several other climatic changes. Some of these climatic changes are wind, water, soil degradation, soil erosion, etc. Since soil is effected by many of these factors and regenerate in long time, it is said to be hidden resource.
