WHY IS SOIL EROSION RELATIVELY LESS IN DENSE FORESTS AS COMPARED TO BARREN LANDS

Because in dense forest there are many trees which holds the soil of the land tightly and due to which there is almost no chance of soil erosion.

In barren lands soil are free to move and get erosed easily
