It Is Because It is Renewable and Non pallutant. Today Most of the people overused and destroyed the Resources. So only Solar energy is Left behind to use.

other sources like coal ,petroleum are non renewable sources of energy
these type of sources will be destroyed in cnear future due to indiscriminate use
