spinal cord and brain are the parts of the central nervous system or CNS they are the parts from where all the parts of the body recieve the information due to which they are called the central nervous system there is also the peripheral nervous system which consists of all the nerves which are distributed to the body and sospinal cord and brain are called the central nervous system as they are the ones who take the decision to any of the actions hope it helps...
