why is standard time of Bangladesh half an hour ahead of india ?

from prime meridian, Bangladesh is more towards east time, so byGreenwich Mean time, Bangladesh standard meridian is more towards East than India, and it's standard time is half hour more than India because as we move more towards East from Prime meridian, time increases
