Why is strider compared to a prophet?

Explanation:
The Striders is one of the famous Poetry of A.K. Ramanujan. According to the author he calls strider as the new England name for the water insect. The poem is based on two stanzas, the first stanza has eight lines while the second has 7 lines.
Now in the second stanza, the author compares the striders with prophets, when he says that just like prophets can walk on the water, these striders or the water bugs are so light that they can walk over water too
