Why is struggle of 1857 called the first freedom of India?

Because it was the first massive struggle where different people's join together and the army mutinied on the mass level

bcoz it was the first revolt led by indians against Britishers to make them realise about indians power n to force them to leave india.That's why it is called the first freedom of india.
