1) Land holding in India are of very small size. Due to increasing population the availability of land is very law.

2)Commercial and extensive agriculture needs lots of inputs, but there is a shortage of inputs like irrigation, seeds, fertilizer, and machinery.

3) Most of families have large families, so once a small quantity of outputs is left to sell in the market
