1. The nature of the sugar industry is seasonal.
2. For a whole year, the producers are employed in growing sugarcane as it is a yearly crop. When the crop is harvested, the producers join together their supplies, set up factories within the sugarcane producing fields and produce sugar.
3. It protects the producers from the grunge of extreme inconsistencies in the Gur, jaggery and sugar markets.
4. Promotes the socio-economic, cultural and educational improvement of the entire area encircling the sugar industries.
