Why is sugar sold in ration shops? The only use of sugar to poor people is to make tea. It isn't a part of the Indian diet. Maybe only for sweets. Shouldn't it be replaced with something more useful like pulses or vegetables or eggs?

● government sells those things which our Indian farmers produce in surplus. As you have mentioned sugar so you must be knowing that India is one of the leading producers of sugarcane so why won't the Indian government sell .
