Sugar dissolves faster in hot water than it does in cold water because hot waterhas more energy than cold water. When water is heated, the molecules gain energy and, thus, move faster. As they move faster, they come into contact with the sugar more often, causing it to dissolve faster.

Particles of matter are continuously moving, that is , they possess kinetic energy. As temperature rises, particles move faster. So when water is hot , then the particles of water possess more kinetic energy.i.e. the particles move more faster as compared to cold water. So sugar takes more time to dissolve in cold water as compared to hot water.
