Answer:ustainable development is often associated with protecting the environment as in order to sustainably develop the world and at the same time, preserve enough resources, for future generations to prosper, we need to protect the resources at hand from being exploited, overused, or depleted by anyone as a result keeping the resources safe from being depleted and going out fully, as a result causing future generations to suffer and go extinct with a lack of reosurces essential even for a minimal human lifestyle. An example would be forests. Forests are a rich source for not just trees, wildlife but it also helps protect rivers and regeneration of underground resevoirs filling it with freshwater stopping water runoff, and by protecting them, we are saving resources like space, freshwater, trees and wildlife for future generations to utilize
