Hey friend!
There was a war of currents between two brilliant inventors - Thomas alva edision and Nikola tesla. It happened towards the end of 19th century, where arose a question which was better - direct or alternating current?
Edision was the one behind the development of DC, which ran continually in a single direction. But it couldn't be easily converted into higher or lower voltages. Tesla strongly believed that alternating current was a solution to the problem. AC was better than DC thus started a controversy. But in spite of all the efforts edision it was tesla and the AC which won in the end and today it is only mostly used!
That's why they say Tesla is better than Edison.
Thanks

The two feuding geniuses waged a "war of currents" in the 1880 over whose electrical system would power the world -Tesla alternating current (AC) system or Edison's rival direct current (DC) electric power. Amongst since needs, few debats get more heated than the ones that compare Nicola tesla and Thomas edison.
