why is the 31 answer for question 10

bcoz during meiosis I TV the amount of DNA gets double but chromatids of chromosomes do not separate from each other due to which ,
still having 62 chromosomes they are counted 31 ( as their are in bivalent form), while in meiosis II their will be 62 chromosomes.
