Why is the amount of gas collected in one of the test tube double of the amount collected in the other in electrolysis of water experiment?

during electrolysis of water, amount of hydrogen is double the amount of oxygen. it is so because 2 molecules of H2O gives 4 molecules of hydrogen and 2 molecule of oxygen.
