why is the amount of gas collected in one of the test tubes in diagram is double of the amount collected in the other? name this gas ?

Answer:

This is because at one end hydrogen is collected and at another oxygen is collected.

As in water (H2O) hydrogen is doubled rhe amount of oxygen.
