The available land is unable to keep pace with the growing demand of population growth. There is too much pressure on a piece of land in terms of productivity Even with the available technological advancements in cropping, they are not able to meet the expectations of the public. While on the one hand the land size is reducing the population is increasing, thus demanding a larger supply of food, clothing, etc.
Possible consequences could be increased competition for land, increased degradation due to over use and misuse and declining crop production.

I am giving the answer considering it to be an open-minded question.
The land space on our Earth is fixed which cannot be expanded as per needs. But the population is increasing rapidly and this increase in population is increasing the need for enough space on land for everybody to live comfortably. However, it is not practically important for the available land to expand as per the increasing population demand.
This has led to decrease in available land for crop production and cultivation, depletion in land and soil quality, deforestation, adverse effects on wild-life, green-house effect due to increase in pollution levels, associated health issues and diseases, etc.
