why is the blood pressure more in arteries than veins​

1.Blood vessels which carry the blood away from heart are called as arteries. 2.except the one carrying blood towards lungs, all carry oxygenated blood. 3.these are deeply located in the body and their walls are thick. 4.these vessels do not have valves.
