Why is the body of a submarine made of strong materials?

Because submarines are made to travel under water and under water as depth increases the pressure also increases so , to prevent the submarines from that pressure they are made up of strong metals.

It is because submarines has to dive or it remains under water which exerts great pressure on it .Hence , in order to prevent damage from the pressure exerted we need to make it with strong metal .
