Boiling point of alkanes is higher than alkenes because


Alkenes have double bond which is formed by sidewise overlap and these pi bonds are weak .


This is the reason that alkenes have lower noiling points than alkanes .

Why alkanes have higher boiling point than corresponding alkenes?

Because Hydrogen bonds are much stronger than these.

Therefore, more energy is required to separate alcohol molecules than to separate alkane molecules.
