Why is the boiling point of n-pentane higher than neopentane?

Boiling point of n-pentane is higher than neopentane because it has greater surface area to form forces of interactions . Neopentane has smaller surface area for interactions. Greater the surface area, Greater the force of interaction and greater the boiling point.
