London interactions between polar molecules is usually stronger thantheir dipole-dipole interactions. ... The strength of the H-bonds among watermolecules still predominates indetermining the higher boiling point ofwater compared to acetone.

Acetone has less boiling point than the boiling point of water because it is highly volatile in nature. This is because it has less interparticle force of attraction while water has greater interparticle force of attraction and that's why more kinetic energy or heat is required to change the state of liquid water into its gaseous state.
