Answer:

Camel is called the "Ship of Desert" because it is the only mean of transportation found in deserts which helps human being go from one place to another easily in the desert. It has humps which help it to survive long dry periods without water. Its feet are thick which help it to move on the hot sand easily.Because of its many adaptations, camel is called the "Ship of Desert".There are several species of camels, such as Arabian camel and Bactrian camel, which vary slightly in physical appearance, but share a suite of characteristics and physical features, such as double rows of eyelashes, which protect them from the direct sunlight, to help them survive in dry and arid conditions.
