Apart from plants, cell wall which is a semi permeable structure is also present in bacteria, fungi and algae. The major function of cell wall is to provide rigidity and strength and also provides mechanisms for plants to take up water.

cell walls made of cellulose which are only found in parent cell . cellulose is a specialised sugar that is classified as a structural carbohydrate and not used for energy ... due to this the cell wall only found in plant cell
