Why is the collecting duct not part of the nephron explanation?

hey this is because explanation nephron deals with how the blood is purified and thus the collecting duct is not ecplained init....
but..
but ..
there must be a line about the collectiong duct...also you know that tge duct do not have a special function in that other than collecting the waste.

According to me it is a part of nephron only but if it is not then it is connected to the ureter and so I think it to be not a part of nephron...
