when the white light of the Sun enters the earth's atmosphere the blue colour of the spectrum get scattered by the small particles present in the atmosphere as the blue colour has shortest wavelength so the sky appears blue

A clear cloudless day-time sky is blue because molecules in the air scatter blue light from the sun more than they scatter red light. When we look towards the sun at sunset, we see red and orange colours because the blue light has been scattered out and away from the line of sight.
It's Also due to a human deficiency and unique physiology of our eyes. Same thing applies to color of oceans and lakes i.e it looks blue .
