When the sunlight enters the earth's atmosphere than short wavelength light(blue) is scattered by particles of atmosphere...... The blue light enters our eyes and hence sky appears to be blue.....

A clear cloudless sky is blue at day time because molecules in the air scatter blue light from the sun more than they scatter red light...
that's is the reason why it is blue...
