Why is the conservation and management of water resources important? Give any three reasons

We need to Conserve the water resources because the total composition of water is about 70%. But, The fresh water resources are only about 2%.
With this hugely increasing population and for out day to day activities we need to conserve and manage brilliantly out precious water resources.

The 3 Reasons  :-
1) Our Industrial Productions
2) For Drinking Purpose
3) Irrigation

Conservation of water resources is essential in India due to following reasons:

(i) To safeguard ourselves from health hazards as the quality of water is badly affected by discharge of urban wastes, industrial effluents, pesticides and fertilisers.

(ii) To ensure food security to the people.

(iii) Continuation of human activities and prevention of degradation of environment.

(iv) To control over-exploitation and mis-management of water resources leading to depletion of water and ecological crisis affecting the life of millions of people.
