Bcz it is a set guide of principle which tells about governing a country as it tells that how a government govern a country and how to form proper decisions as it require to maintain the law all the decisions taken were also checked a/c to constitution.

In present time, a country definitely needs a Constitution as it —
provides a set of basic rules that allow for minimal coordination among the members of a society.
specifies who has the power to make decisions on behalf of the people.
decides how the govt. will be constituted.
sets some limits on what a govt. can impose on its citizens. These are fundamental in the sense that govt. may never trespass them.
enables the govt. to fulfil the aspirations of a society and create conditions for a just society.
