Why is the contribution of agriculture in gdp of india is declining?

when more than the required number of people are working in a particular sector, it creates the problem of disguised unemployment or underemployment. as a result more than half of the workers in the country are working in the primary sector mainly in agricultural producing only a quarter of the GDP.
