Why is the conversion of heat into work not possible without a sink at lower temperature?

This is because for converting heat energy into work continuosly, a part of the heat energy absorbed from the source has to be rejected.The heat energy can be rejected only if there is a body whose

temperature is less than that of the source. This body at lower temperature is called sink.
